Essential of Scientific Entrepreneurship

Venture Centre is India′s leading inventive enterprises incubator hosted by CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. VC specializes in technology start-ups offering products and services exploiting scientific expertise in the areas of materials, chemicals and biological sciences & engineering. VC also aims to empower and enable scientists and engineers in pursuing technology, innovation and entrepreneurship objectives. Venture Centre hosts BIRAC′s 3″ Regional Centre known as BIRAC Regional Biolnnovation Centre (BRBC).

BRBC is a resource intensive center which, through its diverse initiatives, aims to significantly impact the translation of high-quality innovative ideas across diverse ecosystems into viable and sustainable business enterprises. One of BRBC′s initiatives known as City Camps, are 1-2-day events carried out in the location of a BIRAC Bio incubator that aim towards creating awareness about bio-entrepreneurship opportunities available to potential entrepreneurs and educating them about the nuts and bolts of entrepreneurship.

InFED, an initiative of IIM Nagpur, works as a bridge between potential entrepreneurs, academia and researchers, R & D institutions, domain experts, businesses, investors, and the government. It works with important stakeholders at regional, state, national and international level to create an enabling ecosystem for entrepreneurs and associated stakeholders. Venture Centre, as part of BRBC, organized the City Camp  partnering with IIMN Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (InFED), Nagpur.

This included sessions on various aspects of entrepreneurship like Innovation, Value proposition and business model, nuts and bolts of starting and running a company, business plan and financial simulation, raising money and funding landscape
